In Home ISAT Test Prep Tutors

We offer in home ISAT Test Preparation Tutors. All our Tutors are certified teachers with intimate familiarity with the content and format of the ISAT Test.

The Tutor selected for your child will have taught the grade level of your student, tested student classes for the ISAT and will be extremely versed in the content tested on the ISAT.

One of tutors used the strategies to move a 4th grade CPS classroom up 47% higher on the science ISAT test. This was the highest increase the school had seen on record. Another tutor worked with a 4th grade student destined for summer school if her ISAT scores did not increase. The student passed, did not go to summer school, and was offered gifted placement because of how highly they scored on their ISAT Test.

Make a plan (figure out what needs to be taught and what the timeline is)

Target weaknesses by pre-testing, and review areas until mastered

Understand the format of the test, especially extended responses.

Use online tests to re-assess student to track progress.

Illinois ISAT Test Practice and Test Sample Questions

The Isat is, by the ISBE Definition, a test which,

"...measures individual student achievement at the elementary level relative to the Illinois Learning Standards. The results give parents, teachers, and schools a measure of student learning and school performance. Results are used to measure school and district adequate yearly progress (AYP) as required by the No Child Left Behind law.

ISAT tests students in grades 3-8 in reading and mathematics. Students in grades 4 and 7 are also tested in science. ISAT uses both multiple choice and constructed response questions."
